FLL Mentorship
We currently mentor 2 FLL (FIRST Lego League) teams for the 2017 FLL season- helping students gain new skills, and apply them in a competition that focuses on a real-life topic. FLL is a competition with the goal of engaging the next generation to approach the worlds problems through STEM. One of these teams is affiliated with Elm Fork on UNT campus, an and the other is made up of student from the Koan school in Denton. We have experienced TAMSformers members teaching competition participants the relevant skills for competition, and beyond- helping competitors truly understand and develop an interest in the issues of today. Team 5212 also runs a Pre-FLL camp for younger children, teaching and developing research capabilities, as well as programming and building skills- with the goal of making FLL more approachable to new members.
